Using the service
These terms apply to i2Type, operated by Sciweavers LLC, USA. By using the service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Cookies & Browser Storage. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Nothing here removes rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive.
You must have legal capacity to agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Minors who may lawfully use the service need appropriate parent or guardian permission.
What we provide
i2Type provides free international on-screen keyboards that work in a browser. You can enter text with the on-screen keys or a physical keyboard, edit it, copy it, download it, and choose supported external search or posting destinations.
Layouts differ by language and writing system. The service does not install a system keyboard, fonts, drivers or language packs. Your browser, operating system and available fonts affect character display and input behavior.
We may change, improve, limit or discontinue features, or temporarily restrict access for maintenance, capacity or security. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every browser or device.
Your text
You retain the rights you already hold in text you use with the service. You are responsible for having permission to enter, process, copy, export and share that material, including any personal information it contains.
Your use authorizes the operations you request, such as inserting characters, saving a local draft, copying or exporting text. It does not transfer ownership of your text to us or give us permission to publish or sell it.
Keep a separate copy of material you need. Browser drafts can be lost through cleared storage, browser settings, device problems or changes to the service. They are not a guaranteed backup.
Use the tools responsibly
- Respect copyright, privacy, confidentiality and other rights.
- Do not use the service to create or distribute unlawful content, impersonate others or compromise another person’s privacy or security.
- Do not submit malicious code, evade security controls, bypass request limits or overload the website with abusive automated traffic.
- Do not automate or resell access in a way that interferes with the service or circumvents its intended controls. Contact us about high-volume or integrated use.
- Do not manipulate advertising, generate invalid clicks or present the service as endorsing text you create.
Check your result
Review spelling, characters, punctuation, text direction and formatting before relying on or sharing your text. Similar-looking characters and regional keyboard variants can produce different results.
The keyboards are typing tools. They do not guarantee translation, spelling correction, linguistic accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose.
Exported files and pasted text can appear differently in another application. Check the final document, message or post at its destination.
External websites and posting
Choosing an external search or posting destination sends text through a URL to that provider. Review the text and the selected destination first. Opening a posting composer does not itself publish a post.
External websites, social platforms, email applications and other i2 services have their own terms, privacy policies and availability. We do not control their actions or guarantee their behavior.
Website materials
The site’s branding, design, code and editorial materials belong to their respective owners and may be protected by intellectual property law. Using the keyboard does not grant ownership of those materials.
Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses and notices. These terms do not limit rights granted under an applicable open-source license.
Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. You are responsible for reviewing results and maintaining copies of important text.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sciweavers LLC is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, lost local drafts, incompatible exports or actions of external services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and questions
We update these terms when the service or its conditions change and show the revision date above. Where required, we give additional notice before material changes take effect. Continued use after an applicable change takes effect is subject to the updated terms.
